For a limited time, Steam is offering Jackbox Games Quiplash. Thanks to the pandemic, there was a sudden boom in Jackbox users post-2020. The team behind the hit party games Fibbage, Quiplash, and YOU DONT KNOW JACK presents. This virtual party game has taken the market by storm. I'd gladly shell out $15-$20 a set knowing that I'm getting an incredible deal that will have me hosting house parties just to play these games for months at a time. Some of the most famous Jackbox games are Quiplash, Fibbage, T.KO, etc. Instead of tossing in 5 games, offering 2-3 high quality, highly replayable games makes more sense. Quiplash XL seems to be the other strong contender here, but the other games that have some appeal don't quite have the immediate fun-factor. At that point, questions you've seen the answers to will be so far & few between that you may not remember the answer, making for a much longer enjoyment period. Instead of "hundreds" of questions (the advertising on the website claims ~500 questions in Fibbage 2), Fibbage needs at least double that to really have staying power, and while fact-finding for these questions can consume time, I'm certain there's more than enough source material to get the question content up to that level. The biggest oddity to these party packs is, why bother releasing a new game when you can release expansions? Fibbage is a sure-thing for a party with up to 8 players going at it simultaneously, BS'ing each other. Stick around for the credits because the theme song has lyrics. Knowing that there is at least twice the question content makes me feel better about having this second party pack, and the new games have their moments as well.
